The University has received a bursary worth KSh 2.3 million from the Chuka Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to support needy students in their education.
The cheque and the list of students to be sponsored were officially received by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei, who then handed them over to Dean of Students Dr. Kanga and the Chuka University Students Association (CUSA) Chairperson Ben Geofrey Onyango during a brief ceremony at the university.
The financial aid aims to ease the burden of tuition fees for financially disadvantaged students, ensuring they can continue their education without financial strain.
Prof. Mutembei expressed gratitude for the funding, emphasizing its importance in fostering academic excellence and inclusivity. “This bursary will provide much-needed relief to many students who might otherwise struggle to complete their studies,” he stated.
