Prof. David Serem, Chairman of Council, accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei, led the delegation from Chuka University to a high-level meeting convened at Machakos University. The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on the development of generic Human Resource instruments for universities across Kenya. These instruments are intended to serve as a national reference point, enabling individual universities to formulate Human Resource frameworks that align with their specific statutes, institutional size, and financial capacities.
Chuka University was represented by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar, Administration and Planning, and the Human Resource Department. The proposed instruments will undergo a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process to ensure inclusivity, transparency, and broad-based participation.
