In line with the Public Procurement and Assets Disposal Act of 2015, the Chuka University Procurement Office held a workshop on May 16, 2024, for youth, women, and persons with disabilities to discuss government procurement opportunities available at the university. Mr. Haron Moti facilitated the event, providing an overview of the procurement legal framework, the tendering process, and the preference and reservation scheme. He highlighted the government’s directive that 30% of all procurement for government entities should be reserved for youth, women, and persons with disabilities, emphasizing that this workshop is a significant step toward compliance. This event is held annually by the university.
