Today, Chuka University hosted a Vice-Chancellor’s planning meeting for the upcoming Nairobi Summer School for Climate Justice. The summer school is a joint venture between Mount Kenya East Universities and the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA).
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellors deliberated on collective action by the universities and innovative models for climate action. They also received updates on the NSSCJ Cohort Four’s theme, applications, responses, and analysis of applications.
Chuka University is set to host this year’s two-week Nairobi Summer School from June 23, 2024, to July 7, 2024. The Cohort IV Summer School will cover eight modules targeting youth between the ages of 18-35. It will entail blended learning approaches and the lectures will be delivered in English, Portuguese, and French languages.
The Nairobi Summer School is an International Venture that has attracted over 3500 students from 84 countries in the world. All African Countries will be participating in this year’s summer school.
